Such a beautiful, gentle soap, this. I luurve rose geranium, it smells heavenly. Sweet but not as cloying as eg. pure rose or jasmine for every day use. It reminds me of when I did my training in aromatherapy as the facial oils I used in the facials were rose geranium based. Gorgeous. Happy days.

Why I chose it

A totally natural soap, handmade in the UK by cold process, quite velvety lather, lasts ages, a real treat for everyday - and why not?! Made from plants oils, pink and white clays, shea butter and cocoa butter with pure geranium and palmarosa essential oils. All that loveliness is wrapped in gorgeous floral paper so a delight in a bowl in your bathroom, as a guest soap or given as a gift.

Obviously, you won't get too much of the essential oils in a soap, but there's enough to give some therapeutic benefit. It's great for both dry and oily skin types as it's balancing, is anti-inflammatory so can help reduce redness or irritation. Can improve circulation which helps promote new cell growth to improve elasticity of your skin. The clays are gentle absorbers and detoxifiers and rich in silica, renowned for skin health.

Vegan, no nasties, no added parfum nonsense, nothing artificial added. Recyclable or recycled packaging, no plastics. Never tested on animals.

Ingredients

Sodium Olivate, Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Shea Butterate, Sodium Sunflowerseedate, Aqua, Glycerin Sodium Castorate, Sodium Cocoa Butterate, Ilite/Kaolin, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Cymbopogon Martini Oil. Naturally occurring allergens: d-Limonene, Geraniol, Linalol. No palm oil.

Each bar of soap weighs a minimum of 105 grams and measures approximately 9cm (l) x 6cm (w) x 2 cm(d) As a handmade soap, you may find each bar varies a little in shape and colour.

Palmarosa: Deeply moisturising and hydrating to dry/hard skin, as it helps retain moisture and encourages natural sebum production. Valuable in all types of skin care and also lightly antiseptic.

Rose-geranium: Supports hormone and emotional balance. Can help break down fluid retention and congestion, so useful for any lymph congestion or puffiness, especially if hormonal.
